Owner: Hot Springs County School District No. 1
Architect: Schutz Foss Architects

The Ralph Witters Elementary Project was a 20,000 square foot addition and renovation to 31,614 square feet of existing Elementary School in Thermopolis, Wyoming. The School District was looking for a CMAR for the Elementary School the same time Groathouse Construction, Inc. was completing work as the CMAR for the Hot Springs County High School. A successful and trusting relationship helped in the selection of Groathouse as the CMAR on the Elementary School as well as an HVAC update and a vocational building renovation. This scope of work for the elementary school was phased beginning with a mechanical, electrical and fire sprinkler system upgrade to the vo-ed and administration buildings. Also included was the renovation of the media center, and the addition that consisted of classrooms and a large commons area.

"Throughout the planning and construction, Pat Mcleod's (Project Manager) knowledge of construction and expertise in project management was greatly appreciated. Through his leadership, the projects were on schedule and quality was never compromised ." - Ray Schulte, Superintendent of Schools
