Board of Directors
Dan Groathouse - Serving as Groathouse Construction's Vice President, President, and now Chairman, Dan has been instrumental in guiding corporate management for twenty-seven years. In addition to his obligations for corporate management, he currently assists in creating marketing tools. He received a B. M. from the University of Wyoming in 1973, and a M. M. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1975.
Ken Groathouse - Ken began working for the company in 1971 and has been involved mainly with project management, estimating, field operations, training, and corporate management. He organized and developed Groathouse's methods and procedures for every phase of project management, including engineering and layout, quality control, coordination, safety, and much more. Ken has over 37 years construction experience.
Corporate Officers
Fred Bronnenberg, President - Serving as President, Chief Estimator, and Pre-Construction Manager, Fred also has experience in project management; quality control; submittals; concrete work; reinforcing steel; project layout; and safety. Fred holds a B. S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Wyoming (1995) and has over 23 years construction experience. In addition to his duties as President and Operations Manager, Fred also manages corporate affairs, procures work, and is active in industry development as current President of the Wyoming Associated Builders. In 2004, Fred became one of Wyoming's only Certified Construction Managers through the Construction Management Association of America.
Jim Mackey, Vice President - Jim is our Vice President as well as our Field Coordinator/Trainer. Jim was employed in 1983 and quickly advanced to become a top-notch project manager. He has over 33 years construction experience. Jim has held the positions of project manager; quality control supervisor; estimator; concrete foreman; and carpenter. In addition to being the Vice President and Field Coordinator, Jim is also involved in planning and scheduling; project layout; and safety.
Ray McElwee, Secretary/Treasurer - Ray is currently the Corporate Secretary and Treasurer for Groathouse Construction, Inc. He also serves as manager of accounting and contracts for the company. Ray received his B. A. from the University of Wyoming in 1993. He has over 13 years construction experience. As well as overseeing accounting for Groathouse, he also performs contract management; office management; data processing and computer operations (planning and scheduling, job costing, accounting, and desktop publishing).
