Wyoming State Hospital

Wyoming State Hospital

This project was the largest contract our firm has completed to date and highlights our experience as a commercial contractor in Wyoming. Spanning more than 40 months, it involved a complex, large-scale addition and renovation to an occupied healthcare facility. Because the facility remained fully operational throughout construction, the project required careful phasing to maintain patient services and staff operations, along with advanced security measures.

To align with the State’s budget, post-bid value engineering was required to reduce costs. Our team worked closely with the State, Architect, and Owner’s Representative (MOCA) for six weeks after bidding to identify and implement the necessary savings.

Our scope of work included:

  1. Developing a new staff parking area to support the initial construction phase

  2. Constructing a 121,000 sf addition with high-level security features similar to a detention facility

  3. Renovating 71,000 sf of the existing hospital into hospitality and administrative areas, while seamlessly integrating the new and existing structures
