Washakie Medical Center MRI Replacement & Renovation

Washakie Medical Center MRI Replacement & Renovation

Although the project was relatively small (~1,000 sf), it was highly technical in nature. The replacement of the existing MRI magnet required close collaboration between our team, the hospital, the Design Team, and the magnet vendor. Coordination in such a regulated, technical space made this project especially challenging.

The work began with selective demolition of an existing window and decommissioning of the old MRI. Our team then completed an interior renovation of the exam room finishes and prepared the adjacent mechanical room and rooftop for the new magnet. This included installing an electrical backup unit, a rooftop cooling unit, and an emergency quench vent system. Once the new magnet arrived, we oversaw its installation, replaced the window, and ensured the facility was fully operational, demonstrating our experience as a trusted hospital contractor in Wyoming.
